DIVERSITY MATTERS

"The face of America continues to grow more diverse. Our Company's future success will depend on how we adapt to that change - using diversity and inclusion to create a stronger Boyd Gaming"
- Marianne Johnson, Chief Diversity Officer

Diversity Mission

Boyd Gaming is a leading diversified owner and operator of casino entertainment properties. We embrace diversity in every aspect of our business, from our team members, to our purchasing programs, to our philanthropic endeavors, and our customers. Our commitment to diversity strengthens our Company, our communities, and our people.

Our Philosophy

Diversity goes beyond affirmative action and equal opportunity. Diversity embodies all the differences and similarities between individuals - in values, styles, backgrounds, talents and experiences, as well as race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic origin and other unique distinctions. We are committed to fostering and maintaining an environment at Boyd Gaming which values a diverse workforce and recognizes there is strength and value inherent in our inclusionary practices. Through living Boyd Style, we incorporate and consider diversity in our daily operations, activities and decisions.

Diversity in Our Workforce

Recruiting, hiring and maintaining a diverse workforce is a key component of our diversity initiatives at Boyd Gaming. A variety of outlets are utilized • in all of our markets • to recruit and establish the most effective and diverse talent pool possible. Career fairs, ethnic newspapers, non-profit organizations, job recruitment web sites, and minority colleges and universities are just a handful of the primary tools used in our recruitment efforts.

We believe that each individual's uniqueness strengthens all of us as a whole. We manage by inclusion by having team members closely tied to the way we do business. We believe in and encourage the input, views, and ideas of all team members. We do this by asking for your participation in many areas, including focus groups, roundtables with senior management, and yearly opinion surveys.
