Learnkey Training Courses

Although Boyd Gaming prides itself on the quality and effectiveness of its online training programs developed by the in-house staff, there are some areas, primarily technical in nature, where it makes more sense to contract with a provider that has, as a specialty, the expertise in a particular field.  An example of this would be Information Technology.  In today’s business environment effective computer skills are a must.

Learnkey Inc. is a premier global provider of self-paced training solutions.  Boyd Gaming has contracted with them and we use several of their programs to improve the computer skills of all team members.  We also use several Human Resources soft skill courses as part of our leadership development program.  These self-paced courses can be taken at the property’s computer learning center on a break or anywhere there is Internet access.

For those of you who have finished your formal education and are looking to maintain a professional certification, Boyd Gaming, working in conjunction with the Professional Development Center at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, provides for Continuing Education Credits (CEU) upon completion of all Learnkey courses.  UNLV and Boyd Gaming also have co-branded certificate programs in management and computer desktop applications that have these courses at the core.
